In the production line of Benxi Yongxing New Type Building Material Co., Ltd, the coal crushing system is not big but it is very important to the effective running of the VRM hot gas generator and the company’s smooth production. In the middle and latter months of 2012, due to the bad weather and the high moisture of the coal, the coal crushing system emerged some problems such as “the expected output can not be reached”, “frequent use of the loader and oil consumption increasing”, etc.
In the early of October, 2012, Sha Yunde, then the manager of the production department, proposed to install the vibrating screener on the coal crusher to solve the above-mentioned problems. His proposal was considered feasible after an inner discussion in the production department, which immediately set about reforming the coal crusher. The reforming step is as follows:
1、Dismantle the original vibrating feeder;
2、Dismantle the discharging bin;
3、Reform the original coal belt conveyor;
4、Design and make the vibrating screener;
5、Install the vibrating screener and make the foundation for the vibrating
screener;
6、Make and install the discharging hopper.
In the middle of November, 2012, the reform of the coal blasting system was successfully done. After one week pilot using, we found the previous problems above-mentioned had been solved and the coal crusher’ work efficiency had been improved a lot.
The output per hour has been greatly increased. Before reform, the coal crusher can crush coal 16 tons per hour; after reform, the coal crusher can crush coal 32 tons per hour. This basically satisfied the two VRM full load running around the clock.
2、System electricity consumption was efftively controlled:
1)Before reform, from October 19 to November 1, the coal crusher totally crushed coal 479 buckets while consumpted electricity 3682.80kwh. The average electricity consumption was 7.69 kwh/bucket;
2)After reform, from November 14 to November 19, the coal crusher totally crushed coal 145 buckets while consumpted electricity 680.58kwh. The average electricity consumption was 4.69 kwh/bucket.
From the above statistics, we see that the coal crusher can save electricity by 39% when crushing 1 ton of coal. After reform, Benxi was hit by rain and snow, which brought certain effect to the coal crushing (The crushing was cinducted from Nov. 14 to Nov. 19). If the weather was good, the coal crusher could save more electricity.
3、 Greatly reduced the chances of blocking of the coal crusher.
4、The shortage of workers for crushing coal was solved as a result of the increasing of the output of the coal rushing.
5、The loader’s oil consumption was reduced because of continuous coal feeding.
Presently, the mechnical department is making the new screener. Later, the new screener will be further improved based on the first screener. Meanwhile, the production department has handed the coal crushing management work to the leader of the fluidized furnace group so as to make the work more efficient.
The company benefited a lot from the suggestion proposed by Sha Sha Yunde. The company decided to elect his suggestion as “Grade A” suggestion and awarded him 1,000 RMB in cash.
